Summary

http://twoplayfulotters.com/students/abradley.html Summary: Wow what an experience I made it published my Web Site on to the Internet. Cool. I sent the link to my sister and she thinks I am educated. I am able to make changes through notepad and refresh add and change. My file is stored on a server on the internet when I open it with my web browser the http finds the site. Filezilla transferred the the files to the Internet. I found this process difficult because it is a new assignment. I was happy when the web site appeared. I am happy to have finished and to know the information to create and publish a web site. This was an accomplishment. I followed the directions and learned the rules of ftp stands for file transfer protocol to transfer files from one place to another on the internet. Using ftp is using the internet not the world wide web.

Summary

My recommendation for the type of web site/top-level domain for my topic is .gov because it brought all the top-level domains up and within .com was gov. and .edu included .gov. I found .gov to include student government and when government sites were viewed they were blogs or weblogs. Government site blogs concerned me as they had a bias. I found student voice for education to be concerned with their rights within the plagiarism topic. The subject directories are my favorite. They have a quality I like. I am a student and have learned a wealth of information however I have much more to learn. I feel overwhelmed at the amount of study required to be a full time student. I run out of time. I appreciate the opportunity to become knowledgeable about how to research the internet and the world wide web and tomorrow will bring an even greater knowledge. Thanks.

Web Site #5 (from a subject directory)

Google is the search engine and the strategy http://hanlib.sou.edu/searchtool/index.html Subject Directories; The Scout Report Archives http://scout.wisc.edu/Archives/ [highly recommended for education-related topics, like plagiarism] Keyword search Internet Scout Project. Title: Plagiarism in the Digital Age: Voices from the Front Lines what is happening in High Schools Now? November 18, 2009. Summary: I was impressed with the Site and the number of articles to pick from. I liked this site. It was factual and sources were great. ORI and Self Plagiarism-Site; Educational Credits for Peer Review, Newsletter at http://on.hhs.gov. WAME World Association of Medical Editors; 2010 Teacher page www.caclibrary.org/teacher. Summary: There were facts and sources however this site was not as source comprehensive for my needs. The source was published 2010. I found the study useful.

Web Site #3 (.gov)

Google is the search engine and the search strategy is educators plagiarism site:gov. http://www.ed.gov. The Department of Education: 2010 Current events. Seal of quality and excellence. Save Teachers Jobs. Thursday, May 13, 2010. Secretary Duncan sent a letter to Congress on President Obamas behalf supporting emergency funding to help State and school districts save teachers jobs in upcoming school year. This was a informative site and was appropriate and factual with sources.
